Holidays are approaching, the budget is tight, so this year will be a mostly handmade holidays.
Tiny toys in tins. Knits. Necklaces from old thread spools. Felt animals and play boards. These are just a few of the things I've been working on.
I'm also still working a shawl I started, for myself, at the beginning of the summer. It's knit all in one piece, so it can be a bit unexciting at times. And there's been plenty of times I put it down for weeks on end, luckily the pattern is very straight forward and is easily picked right back up.
Reading is on the back burner for the most part, with the exception of Small Steps for Catholic Moms (recommended by Ginny) daily meditations. I picked it out as part of a gift card present I received from my mom for my birthday a few months back. Even though I identify as a Pagan, Ginny's reassurance that it could be used by most, was straight on. I find I can use so much of this book, and just take what I like, and leave the rest, or adjust to my spiritual views. I like the daily prayers and activities. So easy to do everyday.
What are you knitting? Crafting? Reading?
